VTuber Community Celebrates Milestone with 1,000 Creators Event

The Rapid Advance of VTuber Clocks

Based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Benelic Digital Entertainment Inc. has garnered attention with its “VTuber Clock” located in the metaverse commercial facility ‘Soranoue Shopping Mall’, which has now surpassed 1,000 participants. The VTuber Clock is a monitor clock that features a different VTuber every minute and has been installed since the mall opened in April 2022, with the latest count reaching 1,080 participants. Its goal is to enhance the visibility of the participating VTubers and promote fan acquisition.

This clock displays self-introductions from VTubers every minute, allowing participation through applications on the official website. Self-introduction images with QR codes created by the VTubers themselves are template-based and are accepted and displayed sequentially. This operation has led to an increase in followers, making it a new platform for expanding VTuber activities.

Bringing VTubers Closer Through Events

A commemorative event is planned to celebrate breaking the milestone of 1,080 participants, aiming for a target of 1,440. From November to March 2026, a ‘Support Vote Campaign’ will take place. Support votes can be cast once a day, and the top 60 will receive a “Voice Alarm VTuber Clock”. Additionally, a sales campaign will be launched where the “Voice Alarm VTuber Clock” can be purchased at a special price. This event is expected to further invigorate VTuber activities.

Expansion into Local Specialization and Music Activities

VTuber activities have been found to be diverse. Local VTubers introducing their regions and those active as “V-Singers” are provided opportunities to be support ambassadors and participate in music festivals. This enables many fans to deepen their interactions with VTubers, creating a new vibrancy in the mall.

Impressions and Prospects

The VTuber Clock project has successfully deepened interaction within the metaverse and created new connections between fans and VTubers. By leveraging the power of modern digital communication and keeping ties with local communities in mind, this initiative holds immense potential. It seems there are plans to expand the clock display to street signage, which is something to look forward to.
