IO Data Introduces Special Stand Fusing Traditional Crafts<\/h3>\n

IO Data Equipment Inc.<\/a> has announced a special edition of its gaming monitor “GigaCrysta” with an original stand as part of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Recovery Support Project. This stand features traditional Japanese crafts, “Urushi lacquer” and “Maki-e”, and will be available for a limited time starting today through the support purchase service “Makuake” (Makuake Project Page<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Integration of Recovery Support and Traditional Crafts<\/h3>\n

The funds raised through this project will be utilized for recovery activities in areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. As a company based in Ishikawa Prefecture, IO Data demonstrates a strong commitment to regional revitalization. Even now, about two years after the earthquake, this project was initiated with the message, “We hope you won’t forget Noto.”<\/p>\n

A Special Fusion of Craftsmanship and Heartfelt Intent<\/h3>\n

The stands created for this project are crafted by artisans in Noto specializing in Wajima lacquer and Maki-e. The designs incorporate Ishikawa Prefecture’s flower, “Black Lily”, and Kanazawa City’s tree, “Plum”, symbolizing hope for recovery. The artisans met in temporary workshops, realizing a collaboration unlike any seen before.<\/p>\n

Support with a Variety of Reward Items<\/h3>\n

Participants in the project can choose from a range of reward items. The most notable is the “Original Stand + Monitor Set”, available to three lucky individuals, ready to use right away. Additionally, stands and serving plates crafted with lacquer and Maki-e are offered, each adding color to daily life while conveying thoughts for Noto.<\/p>\n

From Textiles to LCD Monitors: A Continuing Challenge<\/h3>\n

Since its establishment, IO Data has been dedicated to preserving Japan’s traditional technologies while creating new values, from its original textile business to today\u2019s LCD monitors. The “GigaCrysta” monitor remains widely loved in Japan and continues to evolve with this project.<\/p>\n

Lastly, this project, which resonates with Noto’s rich traditions and IO Data’s cutting-edge technology, exemplifies a form of support for future recovery efforts.
