The “Machi Supacha Project<\/a>” implemented by Uyet Co., Ltd.<\/a> is a new endeavor to connect the virtual and real world. In Hokota City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which has been collaborating since July 2025, the “Ibaraki Kitchen Car Festival 2026 in Kashimanada Seaside Park” was held on February 28 and March 1, where VTubers appeared at unmanned sales sites.<\/p>\n

During this event, VTubers interacted with local people in real-time through monitors, providing an opportunity to directly convey the charm of agricultural products. The agricultural products sold included locally grown sweet potatoes, strawberries, spinach, radish, burdock, carrots, lettuce, etc. VTubers appeared every hour, enjoying interactions with visitors and creating opportunities to purchase Hokota City’s specialty products.<\/p>\n

Purpose and Background of the Machi Supacha Project<\/h3>\n

The “Machi Supacha Project” is a project developed by Uyet Co., Ltd., with the aim of promoting the appeal of the local area to Vtuber fans, who are mostly young people. Through this project, local resources are rediscovered through content such as manga and videos, spreading awareness of “second and third hometowns,” contributing to regional revitalization and the expansion of hometown tax payments. It has been implemented nationwide, including in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, and Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, and the event in Hokota City is also drawing attention as part of this initiative.<\/p>\n

The Potential of IP Content by Uyet<\/h3>\n

Uyet Co., Ltd. is a “comprehensive trading company of IP content” that generates new distribution in Japan and the world, supporting regional revitalization and PR for companies and local governments utilizing VTubers. In addition to virtual product exhibitions and the Machi Supacha Project, it promotes a wide range of businesses, including VTuber production, audition support, and V-Liver activity support.<\/p>\n

Impressions and Outlook<\/h3>\n

This event showed great potential as a new endeavor for disseminating the attractiveness of the area using digital technology.
