Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has officially launched “Waves Place,” a service for generating sound effects using AI, along with “Streamer Times,” a dedicated scheduling tool for live streaming, on August 27, 2023. These services are designed to support creators and streamers, aiming to enhance their activities significantly.

“Waves Place” for AI-Generated Sound Effects

“Waves Place” is a web service developed for creators who need sound effects for music and video production. By inputting text in Japanese, users can generate a variety of sound effects utilizing AI technology. The generated sound effects are available for commercial use and are royalty-free; however, the free plan does not allow commercial use. Thanks to a unique technology co-developed with AIdeaLab, users can generate multiple sounds with a single input and select their favorites from them. Additionally, there is a feature that allows users to search for and download sounds generated by others.

The pricing plans include four options, ranging from free to ¥4,980 (including tax) per month. This flexibility allows users to choose a plan that suits their needs and use cases.

“Streamer Times” for Live Streamers

“Streamer Times” is a scheduler designed to efficiently connect live streamers with their audiences. Streamers can utilize this platform to manage their streaming schedules and prompt viewers for access. Viewers benefit from easily discovering their favorite streamers and quickly checking schedules, helping them find new favorites.

As a paid feature, there is a service available for ¥550 (including tax) per month that allows streamers to output their schedule as text and share it on social media, helping them understand the optimal streaming times for their audience.
