To commemorate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Singapore, a new cultural diplomacy event, “hololive production Special Day with Albirex Niigata FC (S),” is being held in collaboration with VTubers and professional soccer. This event is a collaboration between the Japan-affiliated professional soccer club based in Singapore, Albirex Niigata Singapore, and the VTuber production, hololive production.

A New Frontier in VTuber Culture

This event will be held on May 16, 2026 (Saturday), as an official affiliated event during the Singapore Premier League official match between Albirex Niigata Singapore and Young Lions in Singapore. YouTube will also feature a live match stream by Mori Calliope from hololive English, allowing fans worldwide to enjoy in real-time.

Abundant Content and Limited Edition Goods

At the venue, there will be screenings of original music videos, special messages, Q&A sessions, multi-language challenge projects, and a limited halftime performance. Moreover, on the special event site, commemorative limited edition goods for SJ60 will be available for purchase. These goods can be ordered online from Japan and will be shipped directly from Singapore.

Mr. Daisuke Yoshiichi, representative of DOU Creations, is aiming to create a new form of international cultural exchange by focusing on the themes of “future orientation” and “youth exchange,” through the fusion of digital culture and real sports. Furthermore, the digital culture of VTubers and the initiatives of a local-based professional sports club are expected to create new opportunities for Japan and Singapore to build a new relationship.
