Major Update for Official Live2D VTuber App ‘nizima LIVE’
Index
Live2D Inc. provides “nizima LIVE”, an application for users aiming to become VTubers, and today released “nizima LIVE 2.6”, which includes several new features, starting with greatly improved tracking accuracy. This update further enhances the expressiveness of Live2D models and offers users a more intuitive operability.
Improved Tracking Accuracy
The tracking function using a webcam has been improved to be more stable and accurate. It achieves stable tracking even when the face is turned in extreme directions, allowing for natural movements without tracking correction. Additionally, a new “adaptive sampling” feature has been added to optimize tracking even during motion.
Renewal of Effect Presets
The effect presets have also been revamped to improve operability. 10 new effect presets, such as rain, snow, and chromatic aberration, have been added, and in some, specific effects can be set in detail. This makes it easy for users to add professional video expressions with just one click.
Setting GPU Scheduling Priority (Windows version)
In the Windows version of nizima LIVE, a new “GPU Scheduling Priority Setting Function” has been introduced. Even when a high load is applied, such as during game streaming, this feature reduces stuttering and allows for more comfortable use of the tool.
Prohibition of Expression Mixing
A new feature that prevents mixing of expressions has been implemented. This prevents unintended misrepresentation of expressions and allows for smooth switching with one click. It also prevents conflicting expressions, like a smile and a cry, from being displayed simultaneously.
Impressions and Future Prospects
With this update to “nizima LIVE”, more users can enjoy VTuber activities through Live2D. We hope to see an even greater expansion of the platform for creators to express their individuality richly, along with the constantly evolving technology. Live2D is expected to continue its evolution as a convenient tool for creators.
