Shosen Co., Ltd. and the planning and production group “Mecha Mecha” will hold an exhibition event “Future V Bookstore 2026” where over 100 VTubers will introduce their recommended books in a POP format, from May 2nd (Saturday) to May 10th (Sunday) at the event space on the 9th floor of Shosen Book Tower (Akihabara). Admission is free, and it’s an event where you can enjoy both books and VTubers during the Golden Week.

100 VTubers Introducing Over 170 Books in POP Format

This event, themed “surprise,” will showcase over 170 suggested books recommended by 100 VTubers, along with their original POP displays. The recommended books will be available for purchase, and some will come with purchase bonuses such as original postcards from the VTubers who recommended them.

At the venue, there will be displays and free giveaways by participating VTubers, as well as screenings of introduction videos and original songs by VTubers. A “Matching Gacha” (300 yen per round, 3,000 yen for 10 rounds with design selection available) containing badges of 100 VTubers will also be available, providing an opportunity to meet new favorites.

Special Talk Show with Kururu-sensei and Kurare on the First Day

As an opening event, a “Kururu-sensei & Kurare Special Talk Show” will be held on May 2nd (Saturday) starting at 11:30. Kurare-sensei, known for his scientific supervision on titles like ‘Dr.STONE’ and the “Alien Science Series,” will join Kururu-sensei, who excels in game commentary and planning streams, to discuss episodes from Shosen and Akihabara and behind-the-scenes stories of book production. Tickets are 2,000 yen, with an online pre-sale of 50 seats available (Kururu and Kurare will appear on a monitor).

“1 Perfect Bookstore!” and “V Descend” Using MR Technology Throughout Golden Week

During the event period, side events titled “1 Perfect Bookstore!” will be held daily, featuring talk shows, live performances, and workshops. On May 2nd and 3rd, single-day tickets will be 3,500 yen, and on May 9th, 2,000 yen for free entry. Additionally, “V Descend,” utilizing the latest MR technology, will offer “1-on-1” sessions with VTubers (5,000 yen for 3 minutes, includes a Cheki photo) and “Cheki Shooting” (3,000 yen). VTubers such as Hanaya Menora, Amane Momo, Saotome Azuki, Yuzuka, Tsukifuka Tsuki, Hakuha Maulu, Nanahachi Kuma, and Aonami Kyo will appear on different days.

Related Project “Lying Bookstore 2026” and Official Book Release

As part of a Golden Week collaboration, the real anomaly-hunting game “Lying Bookstore 2026” will take place at Jimbocho’s Shosen Grande, with Future V Bookstore participating as a collaborating anomaly creator. Anomalies from 8 VTubers will blend into the lying bookstore. Additionally, to commemorate the event, an official book featuring the recommended books and POPs from participating members will be released (2,000 yen excluding tax), and it will also be available online. Some signed copies from certain VTubers will also be prepared.
