Collaboration Video Featuring Four VTubers’ Bowling Experience Released
The official collaboration video of this project has been released on the MonsterZ MATE official YouTube channel. It captures moments of enjoying the collaborative menu, discussions in the karaoke collaboration room at Kichijoji, and attempts at bowling after a long time, showcasing the four VTubers fully enjoying Round One. The content is designed to be enjoyable not only for fans but for everyone, featuring VTubers indulging in leisure activities in real stores.
Diverse Collaboration Projects and Future Developments
At Round One locations nationwide, an exciting display will switch the bowling score display monitors to a collaboration version featuring all four VTubers with eight original videos. Collaborative drinks (850 yen each) and food (1,090 yen each) inspired by each VTuber are also available. With each order of the collaborative menu, a trading card will be given away, with eight types available during the first half (April 1 – May 15) and ten types during the second half (May 16 – June 28), ensuring that repeat customers can enjoy the experience.
Additionally, a karaoke collaboration room is available exclusively at the Kichijoji store, featuring special videos and handwritten wall signs from all four VTubers. Purchasing a collaboration pack at bowling, karaoke, billiards, darts, or Spocca at any store grants an original B4 visual mat (two types available, randomly given), reinforcing the link with store experiences.
Reflections and Prospects
The project connecting VTubers with leisure facilities in real stores on a national scale represents one of the increasingly popular patterns of ‘online fandom x offline experience.’ The participation of four VTubers from different agencies, the merchandise development through both the online shop and physical stores, and the design that maintains fan motivation for visits throughout the duration through videos and novelties indicate the maturation of cross-industry collaborations. Such real experience-based collaborations are likely to become standard initiatives in the VTuber industry going forward.
