AlmaZarQ’s Tokito Hatena Produces and Supervises the Cover Quiz Feature in Comptiq June 2026’s Shigure Ui Special

Tokito Hatena, a member of “AlmaZarQ,” the VTuber group operated by baton, Inc., has produced and supervised the quiz content for the cover feature of KADOKAWA’s Comptiq June 2026. The feature is titled “I’m the Real Shigure Ui! King Championship,” and Tokito Hatena’s 30-question set was co-created with quiz writer Kuriimu, presented as fan-facing trivia about VTuber Shigure Ui.

QuizKnock’s VTuber successors enter print as “quiz writers”

AlmaZarQ is a VTuber group that debuted as QuizKnock’s successor project, with four members currently active. Tokito Hatena’s in-universe profile is that of an exchange student from another world who loves quizzes, and her output on YouTube and live streams has been centered on quiz-focused content from the start.

For the Comptiq June 2026 issue (on sale May 9), the magazine ran a cover feature on Shigure Ui that includes the quiz segment “I’m the Real Shigure Ui! King Championship.” Tokito Hatena took on the question creation and supervision for that segment — an example of a quiz-specialist VTuber being credited in print with a clearly defined “quiz writer” role.

A 30-question Shigure Ui quiz feature in three difficulty tiers

The Comptiq June 2026 issue runs a cover feature on Shigure Ui, including coverage of her birthday live on May 30 and the exhibition currently under way. Tokito Hatena’s quiz set is part of that feature, with all 30 questions drawing on material that ranges from Shigure Ui’s profile to specific moments from her past streams.

The questions are organized into three tiers — beginner, intermediate, and advanced — so casual and hardcore Shigure Ui fans alike can take part. The segment is positioned as a tightly packed feature that lets readers rediscover the breadth and depth of Shigure Ui’s work via quiz play.

What’s ahead for AlmaZarQ: expanding into quiz-VTuber specialty work

AlmaZarQ’s group theme is “a journey through the world with you, sparked by ‘I wonder,'” with a mission of spreading knowledge and content that make daily life more fun. Tokito Hatena’s usual output runs on her YouTube channel and live streams, where she covers quizzes — making this magazine credit a natural extension of her existing activity into a new domain.

Operator baton, Inc. runs under the vision “a world where learning feels like play,” and runs a content business that combines entertainment with education — including QuizKnock. Casting Tokito Hatena as a quiz writer is a clear branding move on the “quiz-strong VTuber” position AlmaZarQ has built, and similar opportunities are worth watching for.

Editor’s take

Seeing a VTuber credited as a “quiz writer” in a print magazine — outside of streaming — is unusual, and it lines up neatly with AlmaZarQ’s stated direction of “learning meets entertainment.” Pairing a creator with major reach like Shigure Ui with a quiz-focused VTuber also sits naturally with Comptiq’s reader base. The story matters more broadly as a marker of VTuber careers expanding past streams, songs, and merch into “specialty work tied to expertise,” and we’ll be watching for similar opportunities to land.
