Momokawa Nijimasu of Uomusume Takes on Ambassador Role

Momokawa Nijimasu is a first-generation member of the VTuber project “Uomusume,” which delivers diverse content centered on fish. As the group’s gyaru-style character, she has built popularity through wide-ranging activities including music, cooking, and fishing, and is recognized as an approachable figure.
According to the announcement, the appointment came together as the project’s worldview of making fish and fishing feel more familiar aligned with the event’s mission of promoting food education and fish food culture through “catching, grilling, and eating.” A life-sized panel of Momokawa Nijimasu will be placed in the on-site experience area.
Momokawa Nijimasu commented, “I will do my best to liven up the event so that many people can learn about the charm of rainbow trout and the fun of interacting with fish.”
Japan’s Largest Rainbow Trout-Focused Experience Event

SAITAMA SUPER Nijimasu Festival is Japan’s largest rainbow trout-focused event, conveying the fun and deliciousness of fish food to a wide range of generations through activities such as catching trout by hand, fishing, grill cooking, and food-education experiences. It is designed as an opportunity for both children and adults to enjoy and engage with fish food culture.
The pre-event from 16:00 to 18:00 on Friday, May 29 will limit participation. The rainbow trout grab and fishing experiences are normally 1,200 yen (tax included) per fish but will be available at a pre-event-only price of 1,000 yen (tax included) per fish for up to 150 people each. Nishikigoi (koi) fishing will be available for around 40 people at 800 yen (tax included) per 30 minutes.
The venue will also host free fish-related content, and general admission is free. The lineup is designed for a broad audience, including families.
Stamp Rally and Tikitos Game Prizes
A stamp rally will also run during the event. Guests who participate in the rainbow trout grab/fishing or nishikigoi fishing will receive a stamp rally sheet at checkout, and stamps can be earned by clearing conditions set at each exhibitor booth. Depending on the number of stamps collected, guests can take on the “Tikitos game,” in which players throw rings to hook them onto pegs.
Prizes — Tama-rin stickers, opera glasses, and plush toys (small/medium/large) — are awarded based on the number of successful throws. Even guests who do not succeed will receive a participation prize: a rainbow trout papercraft kit provided by the Japan Fisheries Research and Education Agency.
Advance Asoview! Tickets Also on Sale
Fast-pass tickets are sold exclusively via Asoview!. A dedicated fast-pass lane will be set up to ensure a smooth experience on the day. The rainbow trout grab/fishing experience is available on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 from 1,200 yen, and the nishikigoi fishing experience is available on Friday, May 29, Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31 from 800 yen. A special stamp will also be prepared exclusively for Asoview! advance ticket holders.
Takeaway and Outlook
This collaboration — local enterprise × hometown VTuber × large-scale event — is a notable example of VTubers being tapped within the context of regional revitalization. The fact that Saitama Arena, an entity with a strong public-sector character, has appointed a VTuber as ambassador for the socially significant theme of spreading fish food culture is being watched as a development that further expands the scope of VTuber utilization. Beyond the life-sized panel, expectations are growing for deeper collaborations going forward, such as appearances at real events and stream-linked initiatives.
