PANDORA Inc. and the voice actor agency Crocodile Inc. are jointly holding the “PANDORA & Crocodile Voice Actor Agency VTuber Audition.” Aimed at people who aspire to become voice actors or who want to work as VTubers, successful applicants will join the VTuber development project “Project YOHANE (Jinrui Uka Keikaku)” and can start streaming mainly on TikTok LIVE with zero upfront cost.

VTuber: a new option that puts voice acting experience to use

PANDORA holds that a voice actor’s most important asset is not the voice alone. The ability to understand a character, to convey emotion, and to entertain the person in front of you all become powerful weapons in VTuber activity, the company says.

A VTuber speaks, laughs, and builds time together with listeners as a character. For those who have studied acting and performance, daily streaming itself becomes a place to put that training into practice. PANDORA states that in its own “Project YOHANE,” active voice actors, aspiring voice actors, and those with voice acting experience are already producing results as top livers.

From “waiting” voice acting to “delivering it yourself”

Even for those who aspire to be voice actors, getting chances to perform is not easy. Taking auditions, waiting for results, and searching for the next opportunity is an important path, but on its own it limits the chances for people to discover your voice and appeal.

In VTuber activity, you can meet listeners every day with your own voice, build fans, and grow a place where you are cheered on. Rather than waiting to be discovered by someone, you deliver your voice yourself and build your own fan community. What is “Project YOHANE (Jinrui Uka Keikaku)”?

“Project YOHANE (Jinrui Uka Keikaku)” is a VTuber / V-liver support program run by PANDORA. It launched in 2024 with the aim of lowering the upfront costs and technical hurdles of V activity and providing hands-on support all the way to monetization through streaming.

Successful applicants stream mainly on TikTok LIVE, and a streaming manager provides 1-to-1 support covering everything from how to start streaming, to building relationships with listeners, forming a fan community, and monetization. Depending on their activity and aptitude, they may also be offered work as voice actors, the company says.

Looking ahead

The first-screening document review closes on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 23:59, and the second-screening final interview is scheduled to take place in Tokyo during June. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and able to stream at least 20 days and a total of 80 hours per month, among other conditions.

Through this audition, PANDORA says it aims to connect the expressive skills and character understanding cultivated as a voice actor to live streaming, and to establish a new career model in which performers build their own fan communities and continue their activity sustainably.

The move to position VTubing as a home for aspiring voice actors is a noteworthy attempt to update the conventional career view of “waiting at a narrow gate.” If talent trained in performance can show their abilities in the streaming arena, there is potential to raise the overall quality of expression across the VTuber industry.
