Game Caster Training Program by Ex-Pro Gamer NOBUO Launches August 3

Life Reversal Gaming Inc. will launch “Game Caster Training Program,” a short-term intensive online program for developing “game casters” who provide live commentary at gaming tournaments, on Monday, August 3, 2026. Takagi Nobuo (NOBUO), a former pro gamer with six championship titles at official racing-game world tournaments, will serve as the instructor, and entry applications for the first cohort (up to five people) opened on Monday, June 8.

Key Points

  • Entry period: Monday, June 8 – Sunday, July 5, 2026
  • Start date / duration: Scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026 / roughly one-month intensive format
  • Capacity / eligibility: Up to 5 people (first-round document screening and second-round interview), age 18 and over
  • Program content: One weekly group lesson + one weekly 1-on-1 feedback session + weekly assignment submissions (held online)

A program to learn “game casting” from the ground up

Unlike streaming commentary on platforms such as YouTube, this program aims to train “game casters” who put the tournament, players, and audience center stage and convey the value of the match and the energy of the venue.

In recent years, esports and game-based events have spread beyond full-scale competitive tournaments into community events, corporate initiatives, and the education and welfare fields. At the same time, commissioning highly specialized casters carries a high cost barrier, and the program was developed to address the current shortage of people who have commentary and hosting know-how for smaller, more casual settings.

Small-group, hands-on instruction from a former pro gamer

Instructor Takagi Nobuo (NOBUO) is a former pro gamer with six wins at official racing-game world tournaments. Drawing on both his perspective as a player and his on-site experience as a commentator and MC, he teaches how to choose and structure words to convey the value of a match to the audience.

The program runs in a small-group format of up to five people, combining a weekly group lesson with a weekly 1-on-1 feedback session to support each participant according to their individual needs. As a weekly assignment, participants actually record commentary audio and work to improve their skills while receiving feedback.

A roughly four-week curriculum modeled on real settings

The curriculum begins with an orientation (Week 0) and progresses step by step through “the essence of commentary,” “technique and safety,” and “story construction,” with Week 4 featuring a mock test that simulates the real thing. After passing the mock test, a rehearsal period is also provided in which participants gain on-site experience as a sub-commentator.

Eligibility is open to those aged 18 and over who have a device and internet environment suitable for online lessons and can secure a certain amount of study time on weekdays, among other conditions.

Looking ahead: job placement for those who pass the final test

Participants who pass the program’s final test receive support that includes placement in on-site work at events the company operates or is involved in (a business outsourcing contract is required, and appearances or work assignments are not guaranteed). A distinctive feature is the exit design that connects the place of learning to actual real-world settings; details and entry can be found on the dedicated landing page.

Impressions and outlook

As esports expands into community and educational settings, the shortage of “people who can handle commentary and hosting” is a challenge many organizers face. This program takes a fresh angle by training casters who can serve casual settings, on a different axis from advanced competitive commentary. Its exit design, which builds in both a small-group format and on-site job placement, makes it easier for participants to connect their learning to practice, and it stands out as an effort to broaden the base of the game caster profession.
