Impressions and Outlook

Reaching its ninth installment, “Nijisanji Chips” is a project that symbolizes how VTuber products have become fixtures in the familiar, everyday setting of the convenience store. The sheer volume of 46 cards, along with a lineup that includes newly drawn and secret cards, offers high collectibility and stimulates fans’ urge to collect. On top of a distribution scale of around 16,400 FamilyMart stores, the design—offering different bonuses for each purchase channel, from Animate and Namco to online-exclusive perks—is a clever measure that encourages repeat purchases.
