Dwango Co., Ltd.’s Niconico Business Division has opened pre-entry for “Orison V7,” a participatory audition for VTubers. The winner receives an original song written for them by Vocaloid producer Mitchie M, and the finished song will be distributed on “JOYSOUND” karaoke nationwide. Pre-entry runs until July 10, and the final judging takes place via live broadcast on July 25.

The audition winner gets a one-of-a-kind original song written for them by Mitchie M, a top creator known for hits such as “Viva Happy” and “Oedo Julia Night,” who has provided songs to artists like Amuro Namie and Ado and worked on major tie-ins with Pokémon and Nissin Foods.

“JOYSOUND” has again been confirmed as an official supporter, and the finished work is set to be distributed on “JOYSOUND” karaoke rolled out nationwide.

Prizes for winners and a VTuber magazine feature

In addition to the grand prize, top finishers receive perks such as the right to guest-appear on official Niconico live-broadcast programs and the right to a feature article in the VTuber specialty magazine “VTuber Style.” The first-place winner, on top of the original song, also receives a Nico Ad point ticket worth 1 million points for promoting the song.

The feature space is planned at a 1/2 page for second place and a 1/4 page each for third and fourth. Third through fifth places are also offered the right to air an original commercial on official Niconico programs, providing winners with wide-ranging promotional opportunities.

The judging flow and schedule ahead (what’s ahead)

Pre-entry runs from 13:00 on Friday, June 12, 2026 to 23:59 on Friday, July 10. The first round of judging takes place July 13–19, and the top eight—ranked by the total gift points sent during user live broadcasts—advance to the final. The final judging is held via live broadcast from 20:00 on Saturday, July 25.
