caerulab. Inc. has announced that the VTuber group it operates, “Re//Nilnis,” will hold its “1st-Generation Audition” starting Monday, June 22, 2026. Built on the concept “In the ruins of cyberspace, dream once more,” it is a much-watched audition seeking talent eager to take on a fresh challenge.

The concept behind “Re//Nilnis”

“Re//Nilnis” is a VTuber group for people who once gave up on a dream, or who want to take revenge on something, to “try again.” The group name is a coined word combining “Re,” meaning revival and restart, with “Nil,” Latin for “nothing (zero),” expressing the resolve to obtain “everything.”

It currently has two 0th-generation members, “1LLUMI” and “Sameno Shumoku,” and is run as a project that sublimates the passion to “try once more” – a feeling everyone holds – into entertainment. Details are available on the official site and official X.

Designs of the two characters being recruited

Two characters are being recruited this time. One is the “Diner Idol,” the poster girl of a back-alley diner (design by Nuu); the other is the “Animal-Eared Cheeky Pilot,” an animal-eared pilot who crash-landed from space (design by Dedechi).

Each comes with a carefully crafted world and backstory, and the group has stated a selection policy that values the individuality of every talent.

The road ahead and the audition flow

Selection is carried out in three stages: a first screening based on documents and a self-introduction PR video, a second screening via online interview, and a final screening planned to be held in Tokyo. Applications are accepted via the special audition page.

Successful applicants are scheduled to debut around autumn-winter 2026, and the group says it will continue to hold auditions for male talent and talent-first auditions going forward.
