JACQUES GLORIOUS LLC has announced a collaboration between hololive DEV_IS VTuber Juufuutei Raden and Thunderbolt Fantasy: Touriken Yuuki. A custom glove puppet titled “Juufuutei Raden Version: Chou Fuu” has been created and will be unveiled at an exhibition opening at Yurakucho Marui on July 25, 2026.

A Collaboration Born from a Visit to a Taiwanese Studio

This collaboration came to fruition after Juufuutei Raden visited the Pili glove puppetry filming studio in Taiwan. During her visit, Raden observed the intricate techniques of puppet manipulators up close, experiencing firsthand the explosion scenes, lighting setups, and live-set filming that define the craft.

The collaboration was officially announced during a livestream on July 12, which also featured footage of the studio visit. Known for her cultural content covering art, crafts, and museums, Raden has previously collaborated with the British National Gallery, and this new venture is drawing attention as yet another ambitious cultural outreach project.

The Custom Puppet “Juufuutei Raden Version: Chou Fuu” Is Born

The centerpiece of this collaboration is the custom puppet “Juufuutei Raden Version: Chou Fuu.” Chou Fuu is the empress of Xiyou who appears in the theatrical film Thunderbolt Fantasy: Seiyuu Genka, voiced by Rie Kugimiya. Crafted using traditional Pili glove puppetry techniques, the puppet is currently undergoing final supervision, and fans are eagerly awaiting the reveal of the completed version.

Over 50 Puppets Gather at “From Taiwan! The World of Tokusatsu Puppet Theater”

The “Juufuutei Raden Version: Chou Fuu” will make its debut at “From Taiwan! The World of Tokusatsu Puppet Theater — Thunderbolt Fantasy: Touriken Yuuki 10th Anniversary × Pili Glove Puppetry,” running from July 25 (Sat) to August 9 (Sun), 2026 at the Yurakucho Marui 8F special venue. Hours are 11:00 to 19:00 (last entry at 18:30).

The exhibition will showcase over 50 glove puppets, along with special displays of Lin Setsu A and Shou Fu Kan in commemorative suit attire for the 10th anniversary. Takanori Nishikawa serves as ambassador, with Pili International Multimedia Co., Ltd. as the organizer and GAMES GLORIOUS as co-host.

Collaboration Goods and Limited-Edition Bonuses

The exhibition will offer a variety of collaboration merchandise, including the pre-order “Raden Puppet” (¥6,050 tax included), Czech-style cards and clear cards (¥1,300 tax included), and acrylic stands (¥3,000 tax included). Visitors will also receive a special commemorative goshuin stamp as a gift.
