Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has announced that it will hold collaborative open school sessions at KONAMI Esports Academy in partnership with esports team EDGE. The sessions will be led by streamer Captain Shota, whose YouTube channel has approximately 720,000 subscribers, and will feature three different themed programs across three dates.

Three Sessions Covering FORTNITE Coaching to Video Production

The collaborative open school consists of three sessions, each with a different theme. The first session on August 23 (Sun) is a FORTNITE coaching event led by Captain Shota and Shuntyan, with content tailored for both beginners and advanced players. The second session on September 19 (Sat) is a video production workshop drawing on Captain Shota’s experience as a streamer with over 720,000 subscribers, covering the entire process from filming to editing in a single day.

The third session on October 24 (Sat) is a FORTNITE tournament featuring Captain Shota and EDGE members, with formats adapted to participants’ skill levels. Registration will be available sequentially through the official website.

KONAMI Esports Academy is currently accepting applications for its 2nd cohort entering in April 2027. The application period for Phase II runs from August 17 (Mon) to October 21 (Wed), 2026, with a capacity of 50 students. The program spans three years, and students can earn a high school diploma through the distance learning curriculum of Daiichi Gakuin High School.

A scholarship program is also available for individuals with outstanding achievements in FORTNITE, offering full or partial tuition waivers based on the results of a screening process. The program is open to both new students and transfer students.
