A Kit Designed to “Lower the Barrier to Getting Started”
Natori Sana is an artist who has been active across a wide range of fields, from music performances to variety content and collaborations with zoos. This disaster preparedness set was created in response to the fact that while the need for emergency supplies is widely recognized, many people have not yet prepared them due to reasons such as “not knowing what or how much to prepare” or “putting it off.” The kit aims to lower the barrier to taking that first step.
With all 10 items — from the backpack itself to preserved food, bottled water, portable toilets, an LED flashlight, a first aid kit, and a disaster preparedness guidebook — bundled together, users will have a minimum level of readiness from the day it arrives.
Special Stream Held on Disaster Prevention Day
An archive of a related stream held on Disaster Prevention Day is also available on YouTube. Note that since the product contains food items, shipping is limited to domestic Japan only. Detailed specifications and allergen information for each item can be found on the product page. A bandage set is also available for purchase separately.
Future Developments
Natori Sana held her 2nd solo live concert “Dokuzensha” in November 2025 and continues to expand her activities from music to variety content. The set is available for a limited time until September 15 at 23:59, so those interested should check the official shop soon.
Commentary
A VTuber producing disaster preparedness goods is a great example of using entertainment to raise awareness about socially important topics. By making it accessible as fan merchandise, this initiative could help address the common problem of postponing emergency preparations. The practical composition of 10 items neatly packed into a backpack is also impressive, making this a noteworthy new form of VTuber-driven social contribution.
