AWA Inc.‘s music streaming service “AWA” has announced “International Singing Contest Vol.2,” an online event featuring VSingers and singers from Japan and Taiwan, on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 20:00 to 22:00. Viewing is free, and the first wave of six performing artists has also been revealed.

A second edition by Japan-Taiwan VSingers, free for anyone to watch

“International Singing Contest” is an online event AWA first held in March 2025 under the concept of “transcending borders through music.” More than 20 VSingers and singers from Japan and Taiwan took part, drawing a large international audience, which paved the way for this Vol.2.

The venue is “AWA Lounge,” a free online space provided by AWA. Viewers can tune in via a browser without installing the app, and access is also available from outside Japan. Popular VSingers and singers from Japan and Taiwan will be split into two teams competing head-to-head.

First wave: 6 artists from Japan and Taiwan announced

The first wave includes three artists from Japan — Enma Ruri, Setono Toto and Kannagi Tenri — and three from Taiwan — Xi Mizuki, Yue Itsuki and Nieerfei Nyrfier — for a total of six. All are popular VSingers and singers active on their YouTube channels and X (formerly Twitter).

Remaining performers will be announced on a rolling basis, with the final lineup featuring more than 15 names from Japan and Taiwan combined. The latest information will be updated on the official event site.

Limited prizes available through voting and live cheering

The winner is decided by flower chats, flower stamps and votes from the audience during the broadcast. The winning team will receive promotion rights in both Japan and Taiwan, including outdoor advertising, AWA playlist features and banner placements.

In addition, listeners who cheer on their favorites have a chance to win limited prizes — including exclusive voice messages and acrylic stands — that are only available through this event. Some of the prizes include digital acrylic stands provided in cooperation with “V-tamp,” a service that lets streamers easily create and sell digital goods using illustrations and voice.

Looking ahead: qualifier event for performance slots opens on June 19

Ahead of the main event, a qualifier competition for performance slots in “International Singing Contest Vol.2” will open in AWA Lounge starting on June 19, 2026. Any user with an AWA account can take part, with winners earning a performance slot in the main event. Full details are available here.
