First joint real event by 8 members across two hololive units

“NepoX! 〜NepoLabo × Secret Society holoX〜” is the first joint real event by hololive 5th Generation “NepoLabo” (Yukihana Lamy, Momosuzu Nene, Shishiro Botan, Omaru Polka) and Secret Society holoX (La+ Darknesss, Takane Lui, Hakui Koyori, Kazama Iroha). All 8 members from both units will gather on the same stage to deliver a special performance that can only be seen here.

The event will feature a packed lineup of segments, from original game battles to mini live performances. Fan-favorite content is planned, including a “unit battle” where the two units compete to see which can hype up the venue more. In addition, the two units are producing their first collaboration song specifically for this event, which is scheduled to premiere during the show. The key visual is illustrated by Kubota Masaki.

Impressions and outlook

This is the first joint real event for NepoLabo and Secret Society holoX — two units that symbolize their respective hololive generations. Stand-alone real events by groups have become more common, but joint performances between separate units are still rare, and the fact that this one runs 2DAYS at Ariake Arena scale points to the continued expansion of the hololive IP. The plan to produce an event-exclusive collaboration song also adds a one-of-a-kind layer to the experience itself, making it a show likely to be talked about long after, whether attended in person or streamed. With delivery planned for 20 overseas regions, this is a marquee performance that takes the scale of domestic VTuber live shows up another step.
